Technology Trends for 2020 – It’s been a few days since the new year eve, and now we’re in the second decade of the Twenty-First Century. Business is accelerating like never before as an effect from the changes of technology and society.
New and emerging technologies rising to the surface have the capability to change our lives. If these technologies are used correctly, it can improve the way we work, and live our day-to-day lives.
If these technologies are misused, they can create problems ranging from small disturbance that can be caused by automated software up to a large scale security breach. Which of course, we all tend to avoid.
Two decades ago, in early 2000 and above, at the start of the millennium, IT was deeply concerned in the new 21st century – and the Android, iPhone, Twitter, and Facebook didn’t exist yet.
So, what’s in store as this new decade begins, whats the technology trends for 2020?

The advent of 5G is becoming the most enigmatic upcoming new technology, that many businesses soon will need to adopt.
According to Huawei (a Chinese multinational technology company), 5G network could “support 1,000-fold gains in capacity, connections for at least 100 billion devices and a 10 Gb/s individual user experience of extremely low latency and response times.”
It has been a trend now that car should evolve from its predecessor model. We have not yet arrived to an era in which cars can go back and forth to the past or future, but cars are getting more and more technologically advanced these days.
Maybe you all have heard about companies such as Tesla, Alphabet, and Waymo, which has the same goal. Their goal is to craft impeccable autonomous vehicles. The idea of a driverless car itself generates a considerable amount of hype all around us.
Elon Musk (Tesla CEO) aims to go big in this industry.
“From our standpoint, if you fast forward a year, maybe a year and three months, but next year for sure, we’ll have over a million Robo-taxis on the road.”
More and more technologies are evolving such as hyper-automation which offers transformational opportunities in the business world. However, this evolving state of the technology, create security vulnerabilities through potential points of attack. Security teams must address these challenges and be aware of how AI will impact security spaces.
Human augmentation can be defined as a process by which a human both physical and cognitive ability can be strengthened through technological augmentation. Once implanted in a human, this augmentation will enable the person to execute tasks that were earlier impossible for him.
Not limited to enhancing human physical endurance, it can also enhance the human’s ability to think and decide better. So we can say that human augmentation holds substantial potential in the future of tech.
3D printing is happening at the same rate as biological engineering. By the end of the decade, perhaps we’ll be able to print our own skin, or even print replacement body parts such as hear valves.
The 3D printing is happening alongside biological engineering. By the end of the decade, we’ll be able to print our own skin. By 2030, we’ll be printing replacement body parts like heart valves.
