What is Data Structure?

first of all lets break it down to pieces : Data and Structure.
What is a data? Googling on the internet said :

Philosophy “things that is probably known or assumed as facts, making the basis of reasoning or calculation”.
                    Computing “the quantities, characters, or symbols on which operations are performed by a computer, being stored and transmitted in the form of another electrical signals and recorded on magnetic, optical, or mechanical recording media

Furthermore let us bring it back together : Data Structure

Wikipedia also said : “In computer science, a data structure is a particular way of organizing data in a computer so that it can be used efficiently“.

Consequently data structures let you organize data in a computer so that data can be used more efficiently by a program and software.

In conclusion, C the Java Utility Package and thus is very powerful and could perform a wide range of functionality. Finally here is a list of Data Structures :

  • Enumeration
  • BitSet
  • Vector
  • Stack
  • Dictionary
  • Hashtable
  • Properties

As a result Java-2 created the new FrameWork callled Collection FrameWork.
